The story behind
Nelson Hall
This piece was originally created for an undergraduate class at Mississippi College as part of a project focused on art history and technique. The work is meant to reflect the influence of Raphael from the Renaissance period and Thomas Eakins from the Realism era.
Through composition, lighting, and form, I aimed to blend the balanced of Raphaels details with the observational quality found in Eakins’ work. This project allowed me to explore different approaches to figure and space while deepening my understanding of historical styles and their impact.
